Department of Hospitality Management Overview

Our Department of Hospitality Management provides students with a practical, management-oriented program that seek to integrate theory into daily operations. Our programs enable students to achieve a higher level of Western and Chinese cooking skills. Our core courses include professional culinary and baking training, hotel management, English and Japanese language training, interpersonal relationship, computer skill training, etc. Our department also provides with internship program in 5-stars hotels for students to learn more practical skills that needed in real working environments.

Objectives

Objectives:

  1. Through rigorous field service professional training and elementary training of infield cooking training, to strengthen students’ professional quality.
  2. Through menu design, cost analyses and purchasing practice, such as management training, enable students to be a competent infield and field middle-level management staff positions
  3. Strengthening food service and hotel management courses, enable students to adapt to the market demand and shorten pre-service training when entering the industry.
  4. Strengthening professional English and Japanese abilities and communication skills of interpersonal relationship, enable students to be a for proper management staff.
  5. Strengthening the ability of using and design of computer software.

Curriculum:

We provide various courses on cooking techniques and service management fields . Our courses put emphasis on both English, Japanese communication skills and computer abilities. We also provide an one-year off campus practical trainning program for our students to strong their proficiency. Our courses enable students to achieve a higher level of Western and Chinese cooking skills and management abilities for strengthening their future planning.

校外實習機構 

本科與福容連鎖飯店集團、王品集團(12品牌)、台中金典酒店、古華花園飯店、涵碧樓大飯店、台中日月千禧酒店、清新溫泉度假飯店、裕園花園酒店、米堤大飯店、泰安觀止溫泉會館、明湖水漾會館、竹美山閣溫泉會館、芙洛麗大飯店、飛牛牧場、西湖渡假村有限股份公司、康喜軒食品有限公司、郭元益食品股份有限公司等數十家飯店餐飲相關機構簽訂年度實習合約,提供本科學生實習機會,培養學生「畢業即就業、就業即上手」之專業知識技術與能力。

畢業即就業

本科於在學期間輔導學生考取中餐、餐服、飲調、烘焙等餐旅相關丙級證照並於四下到五上一年期間、安排學生到國內各大飯店及餐旅相關機構進行專業實習,畢業學生均能擁有餐飲行業實務所需之專業知識技術與能力,根據104人力銀行調查,國內餐飲專業職缺需求平均達28000個,就業市場蓬勃發展 !
